This class is designed to teach students the fundamentals of using a pistol equipped with a red dot sight for self-defense or competition shooting.

While prior experience will be helpful, this class is suitable for beginners as well as experienced shooters looking to transition to red dot sights. Being proficient with your handgun’s operation is very important. Knowing how to handle and draw your firearm SAFELY from a holster is also a must.

You'll need a pistol equipped with a red dot sight, a quality outside the waistband holster with good retention, eye and ear protection, ammunition, a spare red dot battery, and clothes and shoes appropriate for the weather, NO open toes shoes, or crocs. (Leather holsters, and cloth holsters will not be permitted for the class).

The class will cover topics such as proper red dot sight zero and alignment, sight picture, trigger control, presentation from the holster, and shooting drills to improve accuracy and speed.

The minimum age requirement for pistol courses is 21. Rifle Course age requirement is 18 with a legal parent or guardian.

Safety is our #1 priority, and the class will adhere to strict safety protocols including range rules, handling procedures, and supervision by trained instructors. Failure to adhere to safety rules, and any gross negligence will lead to immediate expulsion from the class with no refund.

Familiarize yourself with your pistol and red dot sight, practice basic shooting fundamentals, and come to the class with an open mind and willingness to learn and push yourself with safety as your #1 priority.
